BHS East Midlands - Derbyshire Jubilee Rides 2007

From Barbara Housley                                                                                                           “Derbyshire organised its ride as a joint effort with Amber Valley Riders. Barry Barnes and Sandra Russell took charge of marking the route, also supplying quite a few marshals. Because of horrendous rain a few days before the ride (ducks were swimming on our venue!!), we managed to acquire hard standing for over 100 vehicles at the last minute. We had a picturesque ride through Edensor, Chatsworth Park, over the moor towards Haddon Hall, then back along the riverside to Bakewell Showground. Ann Lane and helpers cooked a lovely BBQ for the riders on their return and the weather was idyllic. All 127 riders said how much they had enjoyed the ride and what a lovely day it had been. Each rider was presented with a special Derbyshire BHS Diamond Jubilee rosette.”
