| I have ridden since I was eight, and been a member of the BHS for donkey's years. I graduated from Wye College, Uni. of London with B.Sc.in Agriculture. I have been a BHS volunteer for last 18 years and Chairman of region since January 1999. With the support of the Development Officer, I co-ordinate East Midlands Region and take issues forward to head office. I am happy to deal with members concerns and enquiries. | I joined the North Lincolnshire BHS Committee in the Autumn of
last year, and have been made very elcome by the rest of the committee. I have ridden on and off for most of my adult life. However since moving to Lincolnshire 13 years ago I have had more time and opportunity to ride and being around horses has become a bit of an obsession. It took me until I was 49 years old to even take a horse on loan. I don’t do anything very much other than hack around the local country lanes and bridleways at Stenigot, where I keep my 16.2 thoroughbred Clare of Tralee on part livery. When I am not with my horse I work full time at St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby where I work as the fundraising & Marketing Manager. I hope that I can use some of my skills and experience to contribute to BHS activities in the area. |

| This is a new role for us here in North Lincs, and is designed to provide a personal link between the Area committee and all of the affiliated clubs that we enjoy being part of. It is my aim to be in touch with all of the Riding Clubs, to provide support, information and act as liaison. On a personal note, I have been a member of the BHS for nearly 20 years, and have a few BHS examinations under my belt, I have worked as Groom, Head Girl, Chief Instructor, College Lecturer, and am now a civil servant living near Lincoln. I have one horse that can turn her hoof to anything – far better than I can! Last year we enjoyed eventing and I will wait to see what we manage to achieve this coming season.
